Become a DRC PRODUCER MEMBER
Thank you for your interest in the Deep Roots Coalition. We are always excited for the support and interest of new producers in the dry farming cause, though at this time we have paused considering new applications. If you are a winery and would like more information about joining us when we reopen our application process, please provide your contact details below. We will reply with more information. We accept applications from US-based wineries with a minimum of three years of production for membership.
All members adhere to the following criteria:
1. Members may not grow or purchase grapes from irrigated vineyards. This applies to all AVAs.
2. Members strive to produce wines of merit that demonstrate the principles associated with the Deep Roots Coalition. These include reduced yields and adherence to one of several low-impact viticultural programs (LIVE, Organic, Biodynamic, Salmon-Safe, etc.).
3. Members commit to educating the public on responsible water management practices and sustainable farming. To this end, members are encouraged to collect data and anecdotes on irrigated versus non-irrigated vineyards in order to facilitate a rational discussion on the issue of water use.
